You're packed, excited, and exhausted. Your new home is just days away. Outside of getting the keys and moving in, there's one last thing to do. The pre-possession walk through!
I always recoomend the walk through happens 1-2 days prior to possession.
Here are the top 3 reasons why you should always do a walk through:
1. Confirm the home is in the same condition as when you last saw it and wrote the offer
You may not have seen the home in 30 or more days, so we want to make sure that the house is in the same condition as when you made the offer.
2. Confirm any terms to the contract are fulfilled.
We may have made it a term in the contract (part of the deal), for the seller's to fix certain items, or get a professional cleaning done. The walk through will allow us to verify the terms of the contract are met.
3. Figure out any last minute details of where your belongings will go.
Not having seen the home for a while, you may like a little "refresher" on where you're going to place furniture, etc. The walk through gives you that chance.
So walk through's are a super important part of the buying process!
